DESCRIPTION:

The O-2A is a twin-engine military aircraft. The O-2A's versatility gave it capabilities that were normally reserved for larger, more expensive aircraft that were not designed primarily as observation aircraft. The full designation of the standard version is O-2A. 501 of these aircraft were supplied to the United States Air Force and, in early 1970, 12 were supplied to the Iranian Air Force.
